Caught on cam: Drunk man bites attendant’s finger, punches cabin crew on Turkish flight

A Turkish Airlines flight was pressured to make an emergency diversion after an offended passenger attacked a cabin crew member.

By India Today Web Desk: A Turkish Airlines flight from Istanbul to Jakarta in Indonesia was pressured to make an emergency diversion to Malaysia’s Kuala Lumpur Medan airport after a drunken passenger attacked a cabin crew member.

The complete incident was recorded by a fellow passenger. In the brief video that’s being extensively circulated on social media, an offended passenger might be seen biting a flight attendant’s finger and punching him, whereas different passengers look on.

According to an Express report, the passenger, who’s a pilot for an additional service, was intoxicated, and attacked a flight attendant holding plastic handcuffs and the attendant retaliated whereas different cabin crew members rushed for assist.

The airline reportedly stated that their worker’s actions have been on no account a mirrored image of the corporate’s values.

The man is believed to have been drunk on the Boeing 777, and was warned to calm himself down by flight attendants.

However, that is stated to have solely antagonised him additional and he then bit the finger of one of many members of workers on board.

The 11-hour flight needed to be diverted after 9 hours because of the ruckus. A spokesperson for the Jakarta Metro Police stated: “Because of the ruckus on the plane, Turkish Airlines dropped the Indonesian passenger who was injured at Kualanamu Airport, Medan.

“The Indonesian citizen who was suspected of being drunk is undergoing treatment at Kualanamu Health Clinic.”

The man – who was recognized by authorities as an Indonesian citizen – suffered accidents, native police stated.

Another native outlet, KabarPenumpang, stated that the incident was now being investigated by the Deli Serdang Police, which operates within the Medan area.
