2 min read

BJP’s national president Jagat Prakash Nadda has launched his new team on Saturday, 8 months after assuming office. The posts of former CM Dr. Raman Singh and Saudan Singh in the new team remain intact, but Saroj Pandey and Ramvichar Netam, who were part of the national team, did not get a place. Chhattisgarh in-charge Anil Jain has also been removed.

There are reports that Saroj may find a place in Team Modi’s reorganization. The three co-organizations General Secretary V. Satish, Saudan Singh and Shivprakash, who were in Amit Shah’s executive, have not been molested in any way. Two other general ministers in charge of Maharashtra, Saroj Pandey and Anil Jain, have also been removed.

Jain’s role was instrumental in the formation of a government in Haryana. Among the newly appointed general ministers, Tarun Chugh, who has been in the role of a minister from Punjab till now, Dushyant Kumar Gautam, a Dalit face, and MP Dilip Saikia, party general secretary in Assam, have been made general ministers. The state has also been given importance due to elections in Assam next year. On the other hand, three general ministers, Bengal in-charge Kailash Vijayvargiya, Bihar in-charge Bhupendra Yadav and party’s longtime Arun Singh have been retained.

Mukul Roy, who left the Trinamool Congress and joined the BJP, has been made the vice-president. The party wants to use them better in the West Bengal elections. At the time of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, he had included many TMC leaders in the BJP. Giving importance to West Bengal, state co-incharge Arvind Menon and Anupam Hazara have also been made ministers.

Former Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh, who comes from Bihar, has been appointed as the vice-president. He was a ministerial candidate at the Center. Uma Bharti, Prabhat Jha, Vinay Sahastrabuddhe, Om Mathur, Shyam Jaju and Avinash Rai Khanna have been removed as vice-presidents.

For the first time 23 national spokespersons have been announced. Chief spokesperson and media in-charge Anil Baluni has been given the same responsibility once again. The most shocking name among the spokespersons is that of Tom Vadakkan, a special member of the Gandhi family. At the same time, Colonel Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, who was the Minister of Sports, Youth and IB, has now been given the new role of spokesperson. While GVL Narasimha Rao has been removed.

Sai’s team soon

According to sources, State President Vishnudev Sai will soon set up his much awaited state executive. Sai went to Delhi last week and got permission from Naddha. There are indications that they will also take new faces in their team instead of the old men like Nadha.
