Raipur: Women of the group are making attractive clay works

In the upcoming Bhadon month, there is Pola, Halasthi (Kamarchatha), Ganesh Chaturthi festival. For this, an attractive clay Ganesh statue, pottery, toys, Nandi bull, etc. are being constructed by Banjari Mata women self-help group of Bemetara district.

The Chief Executive Officer of District Panchayat Bemetara, Smt. Rita Yadav said that currently items are being used by women self-help groups on various festivals of Chhattisgarh. Through these festivals, women self-help groups are getting better livelihood opportunities. During the lockdown, the demand for goods manufactured by women self-help groups has increased and proper arrangements are being made for the sale of goods manufactured by them.

Making sweets by the women of the group has also started. Safura Mata self-help group of Nawagarh block has started making sweets of Bundi ladoos, Gulab Jamuns etc. for Raksha Bandhan. In the ongoing lockdown for the prevention of corona virus infection, the sweets made by these women will be able to get the people easily and the income of these women will increase.
