Ind vs Aus: Washington Sundar shares Test cap quantity ‘301’ with space calling code of Washington

New Delhi: India spinner Washington Sundar, who turned the 301st Test cricketer to play for the nation, apparently shares his Test cap quantity with the phone space code of Maryland, a portion of the Greater Washington DC.
Pacer T Natarajan and Sundar made their Test debut within the fourth Test towards Australia on the Gabba. Natarajan turned the three hundredth Test participant for India. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) took to Twitter to share movies of each gamers receiving their caps.

Bowling coach Bharat Arun introduced the Test cap to Natarajan whereas Ravichandran Ashwin gave the cap to Sundar, who turned the 301st Indian cricketer to play Test cricket.
Sundar’s father M Sundar, a former Ranji possible, had a godfather named PD Washington, who lived simply two streets away from his residence. He was an avid follower of cricket and had developed a keenness for M Sundar’s recreation. Realising that he was not financially safe, the retired military officer used to purchase him uniforms, pay his college charges, and sometimes used to drop him to the bottom in his cycle.

In an unlucky flip of occasions, PD handed away in 1999. Shortly thereafter, Sundar’s first son was born. In reminiscence of his late godfather PD Washington, M Sundar determined to call his son after him.
Coming again to the sport, Steve Smith turned ‘Washi’, as he’s fondly referred to as, first Test wicket. The spinner broke the 70-run partnership between Marnus Labuschagne and Smith. Smith scored 36 runs earlier than being caught at brief midwicket by Rohit Sharma.

Earlier, Australia gained the toss and elected to bat first. India made 4 adjustments of their taking part in XI with accidents to Ravindra Jadeja, Hanuma Vihari, Jasprit Bumrah and Ashwin.
Apart from Natarajan and Sundar, Shardul Thakur and Mayank Agarwal had been included within the last XI for the fourth Test on the Gabba.
For Australia, Marcus Harris changed Will Pucovski, who had injured his shoulder whereas fielding on Day 5 of the third Test.
