Nasal vaccine trials will now begin in India

In order to win the battle of Corona, vaccine work in India is going on in full swing and now intranasal vaccine trial will also be started soon. This information has been given by the government. In this regard, the Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan said that soon after getting the regulatory approval, the Serum Institute of India and Bharat Biotech will start the trial of vaccine given through the nose. Currently, there is no trial on the nasal vaccine in India.

According to the news, Bharat Biotech has entered into an agreement with Washington University and St. Louis University regarding the corona virus vaccine. Dr. Harshvardhan said, Bharat Biotech has entered into an agreement with the University of Washington School of Medicine, under which the company will trial, produce and trade the intranasal vaccine for SARS-COV-2.

He informed that the Serum Institute and Bharat Biotech will soon start a late stage trial of their nasal corona virus vaccine in India, which will include between 30,000 and 40,000 volunteers.

Let us tell you that Dr. Reddy’s Lab of India and the Russian Direct Investment Fund have also been allowed to do late stage clinical trials of Sputnik-V vaccine in India. Earlier, the DGCI refused to give approval, saying that the first and second phases of this vaccine in Russia have been tried on very few people.
