Watch: Passenger opens emergency exit door mid-air all through South Korean flight

A passenger opened an emergency exit door of a South Korean flight carrying 194 people on Friday, inflicting air to gush into the cabin at extreme tempo sooner than the plane landed safely.

The incident occurred on Asiana Airlines’s Airbus A321 aircraft flying from the southern island of Jeju to the southeastern metropolis of Daegu. Video footage purportedly taken from contained within the plane confirmed air blasting into the cabin, with some passengers screaming in panic.

Some people aboard the aircraft tried to stop the person from opening the exit door nevertheless it was finally opened partially, data firm Associated Press quoted the Transport Ministry as saying.

The plane finally landed at its trip spot with the exit door partially open. No one was injured, nevertheless some passengers have been taken to the hospital for analysis, reported AP, quoting officers.

The flier who opened the door has been detained, reported data firm Reuters. The particulars of the incident, along with how prolonged the door was open and the motive of the perpetrator, are under investigation.
