Man arrested for opening emergency door mid-air in South Korea flight, various injured

By India Today World Desk: A 30-year-old man was arrested on Friday for opening the emergency door of an aeroplane mid-air, minutes sooner than it was scheduled to land at Daegu International Airport in South Korea.

Authorities confirmed that the Asiana Airlines flight landed safely on the Daegu airport with the door nonetheless open. Over a dozen people suffered accidents and respiration points, whereas 9 of them had been rushed to a hospital, sources talked about.

The man, who was seated near the emergency door, opened it when the airplane was about 700 ft above the underside and about two to some minutes from landing, evaluations mentioned. The 30-year-old was arrested upon landing, as reported by Yonhap info firm.

A video shot by a passenger from contained within the airplane when the incident occurred goes viral on social media.

The Asiana Airlines aircraft, flight OZ8124, had flown from Jeju Island and was about to land in Daegu when the incident occurred. It had an entire of 200 people onboard, along with 194 passengers.

In an announcement, the Asiana Airlines authorities talked about the police had been investigating the matter.
