Sri Lanka says World Bank agrees to supply $600 million in monetary help

The World Bank has agreed to supply Sri Lanka with $600 million in monetary help to assist meet cost necessities for important imports, the Sri Lankan president’s media division mentioned in a press release.

For months, President Gotabaya Rajapaksa’s  administration and the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) resisted calls by consultants and opposition leaders to hunt assist from the IMF regardless of rising dangers.
