No one desires to see third World War: China on Lavrov’s warning of danger of nuclear battle ‘real’

China on Tuesday performed down Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s warning of a “serious” chance of nuclear battle over the Ukraine conflict, saying nobody desires to see a third World War.

“No one wants to see the outbreak of a 3rd World War,” Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin informed a media briefing right here reacting to Lavrov’s remarks of the true menace of a third World War breaking out following the Russia-Ukraine battle.

“We hope that relevant parties can keep cool-headed and exercise restraint, prevent escalation of tension, realise peace as soon as possible and avoid inflicting a heavier price on Europe and the world,” Wang stated.

Russian information company Tass quoted Lavrov as saying in a media interview that the inadmissibility of a nuclear conflict is the principled place of Moscow, nevertheless, the hazard of such a battle shouldn’t be underestimated.
