By India Today World Desk: Mikhail Abdalkin, a Russian lawmaker who listened to President Vladimir Putin’s speech with noodles on his ears, is being probed by the Russia’s Communist Party for mocking Putin.

The idiom “to hang noodles on ears” means an individual, Putin on this case, is deceptive or fooling others with lies.

In a viral video, Abdalkin was seen watching Vladimir Putin’s evaluation of the Ukraine invasion through the State of the Nation handle.

Mikhail Abdalkin, deputy of Samara council (Russia), listened to Putin’s handle with noodles on his ears.

In the caption, he seemingly mocked Putin and wrote, “I fully support. I agree with everything. Great speech. I haven’t heard anything like that in 23 years. Pleasantly surprised.”

Alexander Yushchenko, the social gathering’s spokesman, mentioned that it will look into the lawmaker’s stunt and “won’t leave it without attention”, The Independent reported.

Another Russian MP, Alexander Khinshtein, complained that the video was atypical of a Russian MP. This is an odd, to place it mildly, escapade which might be extra appropriate for a Ukrainian, not a Russian lawmaker, Khinshtein mentioned, calling for motion in opposition to Abdalkin.

In a significant battle speech days earlier than the primary anniversary of the Russia-Ukraine battle, Putin blamed the West for unleashing the battle and mentioned Russia used power to comprise it.

“Western countries can’t accept the fact that Russia cannot be defeated on the battlefield. Russia cannot be defeated on the battlefield so the West is playing information war. The West wants to transfer the local conflict in Ukraine into a phase of global control,” Putin mentioned.

“I would like to reiterate this. It was [the West] that unleashed the war. And we used force and are using force to stop it,” he added.
