Chick-fil-A blamed misspelling after a teenage lady from North Carolina stated she obtained her order receipt with a racial slur written on it.

By India Today World Desk: A 19-year-old lady from North Carolina stated she was given a Chick-fil-A receipt with a racial slur written on it. The lady’s mom shared an image of the receipt with the n-word printed on it. However, the quick meals chain advised Channel 9 information that the incident came about resulting from a “misspelling of the customer’s name”.

The incident got here to gentle after April Jackson, the lady’s mom, posted the photograph of the order receipt on Facebook. Sharing the photograph, she stated, “This is really bothering me my daughter just left from Chick-fil-A off Brookshire and this what the employee put for her name and it’s black history month.”

April Jackson advised WSOC-TV she “was really, really upset and sad” after her daughter Nyiashia advised her concerning the incident. Nyiashia advised Channel 9 that the worker who was working on the drive-through window gave her a head’s-up when handing her the order. “He was like, ‘You might want to look what they put your name as,” she stated.

In a press release, Chick-fil-A stated they’ve completely investigated the incident and “tried to connect with the customer to better understand her experience and apologize for the situation”. “Though we understand this to be a misspelling of the customer’s name, that does not negate the impact or experience had by our guests,” it continued.

The quick meals chain added that the operator on the restaurant has began “additional training” to forestall such incidents sooner or later.

However, Jackson stated it isn’t sufficient and she or he desires the worker fired. She added that she desires to pursue authorized motion.
