Meanwhile, the police on Thursday busted the case and arrested the accused Daroga and his confederate with the theft. Two Sarafa businessmen Deepak Verma and Ramu Verma, resident of Maharajganj, got here to Gorakhpur bus stand on Wednesday morning from Roadways and have been sitting in Janrath to go to Lucknow from right here. Meanwhile, two males wearing police uniforms boarded the bus and took it down for questioning. From there, the 2 uniformed males, who referred to as themselves police, boarded an auto rickshaw and introduced them to a village within the Naval police station space and overwhelmed them and looted Rs 18 lakh in money and gold jewelery and escaped. During this time, on the idea of CCTV footage, the police arrested three accused and recovered the stolen items. The accused have been recognized as Daroga of Basti district, who together with two different accomplices carried out the theft. The SSP mentioned that the gangster act can be imposed on the inspector.
