Shivraj attends video conferencing with Narendra Modi; Told PM – Do not remove the lockdown now, people’s lives are important

Narendra Modi’s Chief Ministers had video conferencing on Corona. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan also attended it. Modi heard the opinion of all Chief Ministers regarding the lockdown. The lockdown in Odisha and Punjab has been extended till 30 April. Corona infection has spread in 20 districts in Madhya Pradesh and there is a threat of community transmission in Indore and Bhopal. In such a situation, speculations are being made that the Madhya Pradesh government may also decide to extend the lockdown period to 30 April. In the suggestion sent to the PM, the CM had already talked about extending the lockdown period. In VC, Shivraj Singh Chauhan said that the lock down should not be removed yet. Lockdown is necessary to save people’s lives, it is important.

Regarding the lockdown in the conferencing, the Prime Minister assured the Chief Ministers that the suggestions of the states would be considered. The conferencing included Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Amarinder Singh (Punjab), Mamta Banerjee (West Bengal), Uddhav Thackeray (Maharashtra), Yogi Adityanath (Uttar Pradesh), Manohar Lal Khattar (Haryana), K Chandrasekhar Rao (Telangana) and CMs of other states joined, including Nitish Kumar (Bihar). Earlier, Modi had held video conferencing with the Chief Ministers on March 20 and April 2 as well.

The 21-day nationwide lockdown period implemented to prevent Corona infection ends on April 14. So far 9 states have demanded the Center to increase the lockdown. It is believed that the lockdown could be extended across the country by 30 April. Modi in his second address on March 24 announced a 21-day lockdown. The number of corona infected has reached 483 in Madhya Pradesh. These include Indore 249 and Bhopal 121.
