Forest Department obtained formal approval of 2685.547 hectares of forest land from the Government of India in 46 instances Bhopal: Tuesday, February 2, 2021, 14:06 IST Under the Forest (Conservation) Act, 1980, the Forest Department obtained 2685.547 hectares of forest in 46 instances within the final 12 months The formal approval of the land has been obtained from the Government of India. Apart from this, in-principle approval for 1117.239 hectare forestland diversion has additionally been obtained from the Government of India. Forest Minister Kunwar Vijay Shah stated that 13 hectares of presidency departments for using non-forestry within the Left Wing Extremism affected district of Balaghat and Mandla district have been 5 hectares. The State Government has the appropriate to divert forest land as much as one hectare to authorities departments for non-forestry use in 15 districts and different districts. 378.639 hectares, 555.825 hectares in 12 instances of energy initiatives, 532.419 hectares in 6 instances of Water Resources Department, 874.146 hectares in a single case associated to Minerals, 329.143 hectares in 5 instances of Railways and 15.374 hectares in 5 different instances. .
