Cultural Corridor To Come Up In Bhubaneswar To Promote Odisha Art And Culture | OTV News

Bhubaneswar: In a bid in direction of making the Capital City extra inclusive and engaging, the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has determined to arrange a ‘Cultural Corridor’ within the metropolis to advertise Odisha’s wealthy and various artwork and tradition.
As per official sources, the one-of-its-kind initiative will increase livelihoods of many individuals, particularly the underprivileged ones and a number of the gifted artisans of the State by offering them a platform and entry to a bigger market on the metropolis stage.
As per the choice, the stretch from Rama Devi Women’s University to Rupali Square alongside the Janpath shall be transformed into the Cultural Corridor. Special kiosks shall be put up alongside town’s prime enterprise hall to showcase and promote well-known indigenous merchandise from totally different locations or districts of the State. Products comparable to Koraput espresso, Kandhamal turmeric  and applique handicraft of Pipili shall be up on the market.
A gathering on this regard was held on Wednesday beneath the chairmanship of BMC Additional Commissioner Abanikanta Patnaik, in presence of South-East Zonal Deputy Commissioner Anshuman Rath, Deputy Commissioner Pramod Prusty and different officers.
“Under this initiative, around 30 smart vending kiosks will be reserved for putting up special outlets in this corridor. We have decided to keep the Rupali Square stretch reserved for putting up special kiosks to showcase unique products the State,” stated Patnaik.
“The purpose behind this initiative is to make the city more attractive for the visitors and tourists and promote Bhubaneswar as a vibrant and happening city of India,” he added.
