Water can be launched from Gangrel dam for irrigation from 30 September

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, taking a delicate determination on the demand of farmers’ organizations and public representatives to launch water from reservoirs, has directed the Water Resources Department to launch water from irrigation reservoirs together with Gangrel Dam from September 30. Water Resources Minister Shri Ravindra Choubey has directed the departmental officers to launch water from Gangrel Dam (Ravishankar Reservoir) for irrigation of Kharif crops within the command space of ​​the dam from thirtieth September, following the directions of the Chief Minister. The farmers of Dhamtari, Balod, Raipur, Balodabazar-Bhatapara districts will get water from Gangrel Dam for irrigation of Kharif crops.
Water Resources Minister Shri Choubey knowledgeable that at current 79 p.c water is stuffed in Gangrel Dam. In view of the necessity of the farmers, directions have been given to convey water from Madamsilli and Sondhur to Dudhwa, the reservoir of Mahanadi mission group, to Gangrel. He mentioned that in view of the demand of farmers’ organizations and native public representatives, directions have been given to launch water from Tandula and Kharkhra reservoirs for irrigation.
