All vegetables coming from outside, not local arrival, loss of vegetable crop due to excess water fall

The third week of August, the heavy rains came as a lifeline for the paddy crop but ruined the vegetable, especially the tomato crop. That is why till three days ago, tomato sold for 30 rupees kg in the market is now selling at double the price i.e. 60 rupees kilo. Tomato was being sold for Rs 30 a kg in the weekly market last Sunday and tomato prices had doubled to Rs 60 in the Wednesday weekly market after three days. Local farmers reduce the area under vegetable during paddy harvest. This is the reason that tomatoes are reaching the market from Raipur and Dhamtari due to lack of local arrival of tomatoes. Tomato crop has been affected due to rain, which has weakened the arrivals. The quality of tomatoes reaching the market due to rain is also being affected. Vegetable businessman Devi Lal Sonkar, Radhe Patel said that as the arrival of the tomato crop worsened due to rain, the traders have increased the prices as soon as the arrivals decrease, so in compulsion we also had to increase the prices. Vegetable businessman Sheetal Sahu, Naresh Sahu, Mukesh Moolchandani said that the arrival of vegetable from the villages has been reduced in the rains as local farmers are busy in paddy crop. Prices are increasing due to the arrival of vegetables from outside. Prices of other vegetables have also gone up due to declining arrivals. Due to this, those who buy vegetables by staying in the locality and colonies have to pay higher prices. They do not know what the price of the vegetable is in the market. They have to agree to the price of the vegetable seller who comes to the locality. Mukesh Moolchandani said that the arrival of vegetables from the villages has reduced in the rains as the local farmers are busy with the paddy crop.
