Special police force will be made to fight Naxalites, Bastar’s youth will be recruited, age-height will be relaxed

Special police force will be formed in Naxal-affected districts of Bastar. It will recruit local youth. Also, relaxation in age-height etc. will also be given. CM Bhupesh Baghel on Monday, after reviewing the functioning of the police department, has directed DGP DM Awasthi to send a proposal to the government soon, so that recruitment for special police force can be started. Apart from this, under the recruitment of nearly three thousand constables started by Raman government, instructions have been issued to release the time table of physical efficiency test soon. CM Bhupesh held a meeting of the Police Department at CM House on Monday. In this, the CM asked to recruit local youths in Naxal-affected districts of Bastar division by making them special police forces. Selection will be done at the local level panchayat level in the recruitment of Special Forces.

This will increase employment opportunities for the local youth of Naxalite affected districts. Provision will be made to give special relaxation in age limit, physical criteria etc. to the youth of Naxal affected districts of Bastar. During this period, Home Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu, CS RP Mandal, DGP Awasthi, Home Department ACS Subrata Sahu along with Special DG Sanjay Pillai, RK Vij, Ashok Juneja, Home Secretary AD Gautam were present.

Special attention to promotion-leave of
police CM said that special attention should be paid to promotion, leave etc. to increase the morale of subordinate employees in police. Senior officials should keep in mind that during their visit, talk to the employees and resolve their problems. Officers should regularly review the return of cases registered on tribals. Take strict action on the operators of chit fund companies and constantly review to return the amount of investors. The CM directed to take strict action against illegal liquor and betting. He said that the image of the police has improved a lot in the last 18 months, there is a need to improve it.
