Regular air service from Jagdalpur to Raipur and Hyderabad started

Bastar will now fill a new flight in the field of development

Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel today inaugurated a 72-seater regular flight for air travel from Bastar Jagdalpur to Raipur and Hyderabad from his residence office here today. From Danteshwari Airport in Jagdalpur, Bastar residents will now get the benefit of air connectivity from Raipur and Hyderabad. On the occasion of the inauguration of the airline, Ministers, MPs, Parliamentary Secretaries, MLAs of Chhattisgarh Government, including public representatives and senior administrative officials of Bastar Zone were involved through video conferencing.
    Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said in his address on this occasion that by starting the airline from Jagdalpur, we are connecting Bastar with great potential, which will give a new dimension to the development of the entire Bastar division. On this occasion, he explained in detail the efforts to connect Bastar with air service and said that the government has been constantly trying to give the benefit of flying service to Bastar people. With the efforts of our government, on 02 March 2020, DGCA was successful in getting permission to fly the aircraft from New Delhi, as a result of which Air India subsidiary Alliance Air is starting flight service in Bastar.
    The Chief Minister said that Bastar residents will get maximum benefit in every area of ​​development with the introduction of air service. The journey time from Bastar to Raipur and Hyderabad will take only one hour. One can go anywhere in the world beyond Hyderabad. Currently the journey to Raipur by road is completed in 06 hours and the journey to Hyderabad is completed in about 12 hours. During the journey, valleys and inaccessible paths have to be crossed. The people of Bastar will be able to reach metropolitan cities like Raipur, Visakhapatnam or Hyderabad for medical care in an asymmetrical condition at the earliest and the doctors of the metros will be able to provide the modern medicine to Bastar people easily by availing air services. The commencement of the airline will boost Bastar tourism, Through which people of the country and abroad will get information about the historical and cultural heritage of Bastar. Tourists can easily travel to Bastar.  
    The Chief Minister said that with the commencement of air service, banking, telecom sector, NMDC, Bacheli, Kirandul, Nagarnar and administrative staff of Central and State Governments will be provided facility for quick travel under special circumstances. The youth of Bastar will get comprehensive facility to go for modern education, higher education. The merchants of Bastar will get special benefit for every kind of service. Due to the arrival of celebrities of art, culture, sports, theater and other fields in Bastar, big events can be successfully completed in a short time.
    The Chief Minister said that with the commencement of passenger airline from Bastar Jagdalpur, many employment opportunities will be opened for the local people of the region. Apart from business, education, medicine, tourism, all other employment-oriented sectors will be developed and expanded. In this episode, Amcho Bastar Canteen is being launched at the airport terminal. The canteen will be operated by dedicated Naxalite family members. We will take many such initiatives in the future, so that young talent gets good employment opportunities.

    On this occasion, Union Minister of State for Aviation Shri Hardeep Singh Puri said in his message that the commencement of air service will boost tourism and development in Jagdalpur Bastar. He said that the art culture of Bastar has its own importance. On this occasion, he informed about the efforts being made for the development of Jagdalpur, Ambikapur Airport through the Udaan scheme and the action plan for the expansion of Raipur Airport. He congratulated and congratulated the Airport Authority, Air India subsidiary Alliance Air, State Government, Chhattisgarh and Bastarwas for connecting Jagdalpur with the airline.     
The foundation of Jagdalpur Airport was laid in 1939
    Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel said that the foundation of Jagdalpur Airport was laid in the British era before World War II in 1939, when it was known as Ship Bhata. On 13 March 1953, India’s first Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru also made his way into this Bastar ship, Bhata. Apart from this, great personalities like former President Dr. Rajendra Prasad, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, Dr. Pratibha Patil and former Prime Ministers Mrs. Indira Gandhi, Mr. Morarji Desai, Mr. V.P. Singh, Mr. Atal Bihari Bajpai ji have also stepped into this holy land. On 20 March 1988, a flight between Jagdalpur to Bhopal in the name of Vayudoot Seva was started by the then Chief Minister Shri Motilal Vora. Mr. Vora ji, along with the members of his cabinet, made the first trip from Bhopal to Jagdalpur. Jagdalpur Airport has been used for strategic operations.
Jagdalpur Airport to be known as Maa Danteshwari
    Jagdalpur Airport has been named by the Government of Chhattisgarh as Maa Danteshwari, the goddess of the region. Maa Danteshwari Airport Jagdalpur is established in a total area of ​​57.6 hectares. The length of the air strip is 1704 meters and the width is 30 meters. The basic facilities of the airport are being managed by the Public Works Department, Government of Chhattisgarh. Air traffic control at the airport will be managed by the Airport Authority of India. A 72-seater passenger capacity airplane is being operated at the airport. The passenger plane will fly from Hyderabad at 9 am via Jagdalpur and reach Raipur by 12 noon. Back to Hyderabad, this aircraft will fly from Raipur at 12.30 am to reach Jagdalpur at 1.35 pm and from there at 2.05 am to reach Hyderabad at 3.40 pm.
    The Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel said that it has been ensured that flights of planes are made daily for the convenience of the people of Bastar. Ticket booking can be done through Alliance Air’s website, app and ticket counters. The passenger fare is also kept to a minimum, which can be easily borne. Rs 1405 from Hyderabad to Jagdalpur The ticket from Jagdalpur to Raipur is only Rs 1270. Common citizens can easily avail air travel at a low cost. Our government has been committed to the all-round development of Bastar since the beginning. We are making multifaceted efforts to establish Bastar’s identity internationally.
