Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has said that we have to take a decision to lockdown in cities to prevent corona infection. You all take this lockdown seriously. People face difficulty with lockdown, but the situation of lockdown cannot be avoided if people do not follow the rules for safety and security. This is the time for me, for you, to be worried, to beware of illness and to take preventive measures seriously. Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel was addressing the people of the state today.

  The Chief Minister said that today I have come before you with the condition of corona virus infection in my state. Corono infection in Chhattisgarh is definitely under control compared to other states, but the number of infected persons has been increasing progressively since last few days. This is all due to the lack of caution and avoidance measures during the unlock. The recovery rate of corona victims in Chhattisgarh is better and the death rate is much lower. Mr. Baghel said that we are doing better than many states of the country. With your cooperation Corona will do better in the direction of prevention of infection. At present, more than five thousand samples are being examined daily in the state. It is targeted to increase it to ten thousand soon.

 The Chief Minister said that doctors in our state are treating Corona patients with full dedication. After treatment, a large number of patients have returned to their homes after recovering. Arrangements have been made for the treatment of Kovid-19 patients in eight regional and 22 district level hospitals of the state. Adequate number of masks, PPE kits, triple layer masks, VTM and essential medicines have been ensured in all Kovid hospitals. I have also directed the authorities to ensure availability of oximeter. I urge all of you to essentially wear masks, wash your hands frequently, keep distance from people, avoid overcrowding. If we do all this then we will be able to stop the infection of corona virus. The state government, all our departments, doctors, sweepers, police etc. are engaged in preventing and treating the spread of corona infection. But if you are not careful, If we do not follow preventive measures then prevention of corona virus infection will be difficult. Mr. Baghel said that I have received information that in some places people are opposing the team of health workers going to take samples, preventing them from checking. I request you to understand the seriousness of the situation. All this is for the betterment of you and your family’s health. We have to support health workers. 

 The Chief Minister said that the festival of Eid and Rakshabandhan is coming near. Wish you all the best of these festivals. While celebrating the festival, keep in mind that we should celebrate this festival only with our family and family members. It is necessary to do this to avoid corona. We have to avoid overcrowding while following our social responsibility. I am confident that we will all understand the seriousness of the situation and cooperate in preventing the corona infection.
