Raipur: Chief Minister salutes Barrister Thakur Chedilal

Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel paid tributes to Barrister Thakur Chedilal on his death anniversary in his residence office here today and paid him a humble tribute. On this occasion, Mr. Baghel said that barrister Thakur Chedilal was rich in versatility. He was a well-known writer, journalist, musician, hardworking leader and a true fighter of the freedom struggle.

Recalling the contribution of Barrister Thakur Chedilal, Mr. Baghel said that during the independence movement in Chhattisgarh, Barrister Thakur Chedilal organized youth through ‘Seva Samiti’. Barrister Thakur Chedilal has been instrumental in connecting the youth with the freedom movement by awakening the sense of nationalism. He got higher education in law but left advocacy at the call of Mahatma Gandhi and started strengthening the non-cooperation movement. Barrister Thakur Chedilal played an important role in the Civil Disobedience Movement and was also a member of the Constituent Assembly.
