The Mukhya Mantri Suraksha Abhiyan launched on the initiative of Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel for the eradication of malnutrition has been very successful. As a result, about 15 percent of the 26 thousand 816 malnourished children identified in Bilaspur district in the first phase have become malnourished. Women and Child Development Officer of Bilaspur district said that the malnutrition rate decreased by 4.59 percent within the last three rains due to successful implementation of the Supplementary Nutrition Diet Program, Mahtari Jatan Yojana, Chief Minister Child Reference Scheme and Mukhyamantri Suchitran Yojana. Has come. The percentage of malnutrition in the district in the year 2018 was 26.67. Which has come down to 16.08 percent in 2020.

    The scheme was launched on 2 October 2019. Under this, nutritious laddus are provided to all malnourished children from the age of 06 months to 05 years in addition to nutritious diet for 3 days a week and hot food is provided to all infant mothers in Anganwadi centers. In addition to the Supplementary Nutrition Diet Program, Mahtari Jatan Yojana, Mukhyamantri Bal Sandarbh Yojana, the Chief Minister’s Nutrition Campaign is also being conducted by the Department of Women and Child Development. Due to the closure of Anganwadi during the Kovid 19 epidemic, nutritious laddus to malnourished children and dry rations to infant mothers are being provided door-to-door by Anganwadi workers and helpers.
