Lavan to get the status of Tehsil, Chief Minister’s announcement at Jan-Chaupal

Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, on request of people from Lavan Up-Tehsil of Balodabazar district at Jan-Chaupal:Bhent-Mulaqat programme, announced that Lavan Up-Tehsil will be upgraded as Tehsil. Delegation of people from Lavan informed that the up-tehsil has 70 gram panchayats and people often have to travel all the way to Balodabazar for tehsil-related works. People of far-flung villages of Lavan area have to face major inconvenience to reach Balodabazar in order to get their works done. Opening of tehsil office in Lavan will save time, money and energy of the people living there. 40 acres of government land is available in Lavan for construction of Tehsil office.

Chief Minister patiently listened to the request of the delegation and announced upgrading of Lavan as proper Tehsil. The delegation thanked Chief Minister. Delegation from Lavan included Sarpanch Mrs. Shakuntala Sahu, Mr. Anurag Pandey, Mr. Devilal Barwe, Mr. Pratap Daharia, Mr. Manuram Bajre and many other citizens.
