Governor signed the Bandi (Chhattisgarh Amendment) Bill, 2021

Governor Ms. Anusuiya Uike signed the Bandhi (Chhattisgarh Amendment) Bill, 2021. Accordingly, the Bandi Act, 1900 (1900 No. 3) (which is hereinafter known as the unique Act), as relevant to the State of Chhattisgarh, ought to be amended within the method supplied thereafter. In sub-section (1) of part 31-A of the unique Act, for the phrase “twenty-one”, the phrase “forty-two” ought to be substituted. In sub-section (3), in clause (i), for the phrase “two”, the phrase “three” ought to be substituted and in clause (ii), for the phrase “ten”, the phrase “Fourteen” ought to be substituted.

It is noteworthy that this Act will probably be known as the Bandi (Chhattisgarh Amendment) Act, 2021. It shall come into power from the date of its publication within the Gazette.
