Food Minister inaugurated the village pottery by offering prayers

Paddy procurement has started in the state from December 1 on support price from farmers. Food Minister Shri Amarjit Bhagat today launched paddy purchase in the village Kumhari of Dharsinwa block development in Raipur district. Shri Bhagat weighed paddy in thorn baat and welcomed them by applying tilak to the farmers. On this occasion, Mr. Bhagat also performed bhumi pujan to construct a food warehouse at village Kumhari.On this occasion, Minister Shri Bhagat said that paddy procurement has started in the entire state from today. Necessary preparations have been completed in all 2 thousand 305 procurement centers of the state. Sanitizer to protect the corona virus in all procurement centers, Masks and hand washing have been arranged. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel, many decisions have been taken in the interest of the Annadata. He said that assistance has not been received as expected for paddy purchase from the center. Paddy is being purchased by the state government by purchasing old gunny bags and plastic bags. New platforms have been constructed in the procurement centers. He said that farmers will not face any kind of problem. In the Kharif marketing year 2020-21, 21 lakh 29 thousand 764 farmers have registered to sell paddy. Last year 19 lakh 55 thousand 541 farmers had registered. Considering the increase in the number of farmers and the area under paddy this year, more paddy is expected to be purchased than in the previous year.
