Fishing might be banned from June 16 to August 15

In order to guard them from the standpoint of breeding of fish within the wet season, fishing might be banned within the district from June 16 to August 15. Assistant Director Fisheries knowledgeable that below sub-section-2 of Section-3 of Chhattisgarh River Fisheries Act 1972, 16 June to fifteen August has been declared as closed season, as a result of which fishing is banned within the district. Will keep He mentioned that every one kinds of fishing within the river, nallahs or small rivers, tributaries on which irrigation ponds, reservoirs (small) have been constructed, might be utterly prohibited in the course of the mentioned interval. For violation of those guidelines, below Rule-3(5) of the Chhattisgarh State Fisheries Amendment Act 1981, on conviction, there’s a provision of imprisonment of 1 12 months or a wonderful of ten thousand rupees or each collectively. The Assistant Director clarified that the above guidelines wouldn’t be relevant solely in small ponds or different water sources which aren’t associated to any river or stream.
