Congress supports Kisan Union’s Bharat Bandh on 16th February, its effect will be visible in Chhattisgarh also

Raipur. Amidst the farmers’ ‘Delhi Chalo’ movement, the United Kisan Morcha (SKM) has called for Bharat Bandh on 16 February. The organization has requested other farmer organizations and farmers to join this Bharat Bandh. Congress has supported the Bharat Bandh of farmers. Chhattisgarh Congress State General Secretary Malkit Singh Gaidu has written a letter to all the district and city presidents.

Malkit Singh Gaidoo has written in the letter that as you know, farmer unions have announced Bharat Bandh on 16 February 2024. The major issues of this nationwide bandh include the demand for MSP guarantee and resolution of important issues like unemployment and anti-people policies of the central government. Farmer unions have asked various sections of the society including students, youth, women, pensioners, small traders, truck professionals, journalists and cultural workers to join hands and focus on important issues.

It has also been requested that by supporting the Bharat Bandh organized on 16th February 2024, through wide publicity, the common citizens should be made aware of important livelihood issues and the call of Bharat Bandh should be given on an open platform in solidarity with our food providers.
