Chief Minister Takes Major Action Right Before the Meeting of Home Department

Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel today took a major action, before chairing the meeting of Home Department. Mr. Baghel suspended SDOP Mr. Dhruvesh Jaiswal and Raghunathnagar Police Station In-charge Mr. Johan Pradeep Lakra with immediate effect on charges of negligence in investigation of crimes against women. On Chief Minister’s instructions, Director General of Police Mr. DM Awasthi has issued order in the context. For the suspension period, their headquarters would be the IG Office Sarguja. 

   It is noteworthy that Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has given instructions to work with priority and with utmost sincerity for prevention of crimes against women. Chief Minister has also written a letter to Chief Justice of Chhattisgarh High Court recently, requesting to notify the required number of fast track courts in all districts for speedy hearing of the cases related to sexual offenses. He has assured of providing all the support required from the state government.
