Chief Minister pays tribute to Raja Rammohan Roy on his delivery anniversary
1 min readChief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel has paid homage to the pioneer of Indian socio-religious renaissance and ideologue Raja Ram Mohan Roy on his delivery anniversary on 22 May. The Chief Minister has stated in his message that Raja Ram Mohan Roy is thought for his vocal opposition to the stereotypes and social evils of the Indian society and for outstanding reforms. He opposed the evil practices like Sati, youngster marriage, polygamy prevalent within the society and succeeded in stopping it to an excellent extent. He emphasised on educating girls to enhance the situation of ladies within the society. Shri Baghel stated that evils grow to be a hindrance in growth. A liberal method like Raja Rammohun Roy is required to advance the nation and the society.
