Chief Minister pays tribute to Mahatma Jyotiba Phule on his demise anniversary

Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel has paid homage to the social reformer, thinker, author and thinker Mahatma Jyotiba Phule on his demise anniversary on November 28, on the event of Samta Diwas. Mr. Baghel has stated that Mahatma Phule needed to free the society from superstitions and malpractices. He was a powerful opponent of the prevailing caste system in Indian society and the discrimination based mostly on it. He did many works for the upliftment of girls and Dalits. Mahatma Phule based the Satyashodhak Samaj to finish discrimination towards Dalits and provides them a spot within the society.
Shri Baghel stated that Mahatma Phule emphasised on the training of all sections to free the society from the evils. He additionally promoted girls’s training and educated his spouse, Mrs. Savitribai Phule, who turned India’s first trainer. The Chief Minister stated that the spirit of service and ideas of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule will at all times encourage us to serve the poor and downtrodden and set up equality within the society.
