Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel bid goodbye to the mortal remains of the brave martyr Shri Ganesh Ram Kunjam of Chhattisgarh: a grand tribute paid to the capital’s Mana Airport

Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel today paid floral tributes at the Swami Vivekananda Airport located in the capital Raipur by laying a wreath on the mortal remains of martyr Jawan Shri Ganesh Ram Kunjam. The martyr Shri Kunjam was given the Gord of Honor at the airport. The Chief Minister bid farewell to the mortal remains of the martyr Shri Kunjam. The mortal remains of the martyr were flown from the airport to his home village Gidhali Kanker for the last rites.
It is known that 20 Indian soldiers were killed in a violent clash with the Chinese Army on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Ladakh. In this violent clash, Shri Ganesh Ram Kunjam, resident of village Gidhali of Kurutola Gram Panchayat of Kanker district of Chhattisgarh, was also killed. The mortal remains of the martyr Shri Kunjam reached Raipur by special aircraft today.
Chief Minister Mr. Baghel saluted the indomitable courage and sacrifice of the martyred soldiers in Ladakh and expressed condolences to the families of the martyrs. The Chief Minister said that the late Shri Kunjam has given martyrdom for the country. We Chhattisgarh are proud of such a great son. Their martyrdom will not go in vain. We are all with the country, with the army and with the soldiers. To preserve the memory of martyr late Shri Ganesh Ram Kunjam, the Chief Minister announced to rename the village school after him. The Chief Minister said that a member of the family of martyr Shri Kunjam will be given a government job. On this occasion, the Chief Minister handed over a check of Rs 20 lakhs from the Government of Chhattisgarh to Shri Itawaru Ram Kunjam, father of the martyr late Shri Kunjam.
On this occasion, Home Minister Shri Tamradhwaj Sahu, Agriculture Minister Shri Ravindra Choubey, Food Minister Shri Amarjeet Bhagat, Urban Administration Minister Dr. Shiv Kumar Dahria, School Education Minister Dr. Premasai Singh Tekam, Former Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh, MLA Sarvajan Satyanarayan Sharma, Brijmohan Agrawal, Kuldeep Juneja and Vikas Upadhyay, MP Shri Sunil Soni, Mayor Shri Ejaz Dhebar, Chief Secretary Shri R. P. Mandal, Director General of Police Shri DM Awasthi, Additional Chief Secretary to Chief Minister Shri Subrata Sahu, along with several public representatives, army, administration, senior police officers and citizens paid floral tributes on the mortal remains of the martyr Shri Kunjam. After this, the body of martyr Shri Kunjam was sent to his home village.
