Chief Electoral Officer reviewed the preparations for the Marwahi Assembly by-election

The Chief Electoral Officer, Smt. Reena Baba Saheb Kangale reviewed the preparations for the Assembly by-election at a meeting held in the Collectorate Hall of the Gorella-Pendra-Marwahi district on Friday. He asked all the officers to work in team spirit and play their role in fair, free and peaceful elections. He instructed all officers to discharge their responsibilities with mutual coordination. During this, he directed to ensure availability of basic facilities like shadow, drinking water etc. in all polling stations of Marwahi assembly constituency. He directed to take strict action in the event of property diversion at public and government sites. He directed to ensure strict adherence to the Model Code of Conduct along with keeping a close watch on the illegal transport of liquor.

The Chief Electoral Officer directed Superintendent of Police, Mr. Suraj Singh Parihar, to ensure the security of the polling stations. Superintendent of Police Shri Parihar informed that elaborate security arrangements are being made by the police force for the assembly by-election. At the meeting, District Election Officer Mr.

Doman Singh gave detailed information to the Chief Electoral Officer about the preparations for the Assembly by-election.The meeting was attended by Deputy Chief Electoral Officers U.S Aggarwal, Shrikant Verma, Pulak Bhattacharya, Gorella Pendra Marwahi District Additional Collector Shri Ajit Basant, Assistant Collector Shri Mayank Chaturvedi, District Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Shri Gajendra Thakur, Additional SP Shri Sanjay Mahadeva, Upazila Election Officer Shri Digesh Patel and other officials were present.
