Chairman of Food Commission inspects PDS shops and ready to brick manufacturing units

Conducted inspection of supply centers and supplementary nutritious food manufacturing units of Civil Supplies Corporation. During the inspection of PDS shops located in various wards of Ambikapur Municipal Corporation area, instructed to take action against the shop if there is excess quantity of food in the physical verification of stock. Besides, instructions were given to display toll free number and name of monitoring committee in all the shops. He inquired from the beneficiaries of the shop regarding the ration material received in the shop. After this, under the nutritional security, inspecting the ready-to-eat manufacturing unit for mothers and infants, got information about the quality of the supplementary nutritious food and asked the investigation team to take samples of the supplementary nutritious food. Along with this, the governing group was asked to mix food material in the criteria set by the government.  
Shri Babra inspected various PDS shops and ready to brick manufacturing units in Lakhanpur and Udaipur. During the inspection, if the Ready to Bite manufacturing unit operated by Bela Self Help Group was found closed, the Panchnama was prepared and directed to take action. He held a meeting of district officials of Food Department, Women and Child Development, School Education Department and Tribal Development Department at Circuit House, Ambikapur and directed to take necessary action to ensure toll free numbers of the State Food Commission and ensure food security State Food Commission member Mr. Ashok Sonwani Member Secretary Mr. Rajeev Jaiswal, Advocate Council Chairman Mr. Praveen Gupta and departmental officers were present.
