Action against chit fund companies in Chhattisgarh: So far 932 persons have been arrested and challan submitted in court

In Chhattisgarh, the State Government has taken the case of fraudulently with investors by unregulated financial companies (chit fund companies) very seriously. On the instructions of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, refund of investors is being done by police administration on priority.
    Police headquarters officials said that from the year 2012 to October 2019, cases have been registered against 484 unregulated financial companies in the state. Out of these, in 307 cases, 468 operators, 185 officials and 279 other persons have been arrested and presented in the challan court. In 154 cases assets of irregular financial companies and their operators have been identified.
    Officials said that under Section 6 of the Protection of Deposits Act, auction amount of Rs 7 crore 92 lakh 21 thousand has been deposited in government fund in Rajnandgaon district and the process of returning the amount to investors has been started. is. 2 lakh 80 thousand was given to the applicant by auctioning the house under crime number 780/15 recorded at Bilaspur Civil Line Police Station. The court has passed the final order for attachment in 6 cases of unregulated financial companies, while the final order for attachment in 42 cases is under consideration.
