Gokhale was apprehended within the early hours of Tuesday morning in Jaipur, Rajasthan, by officers from the Ahmedabad Cyber Crime Cell and dropped at Ahmedabad within the afternoon, the place he was formally arrested.

Notably, Gokhale had shared a fabricated information report about an RTI question and its response that doesn’t exist. He had claimed that ₹30 crore was spent on PM Modi’s Morbi go to, sharing a information clipping from an unnamed Gujarati newspaper, which was claimed to be Gujarat Samachar. But the federal government has mentioned that it’s fabricated and no such report was revealed and there’s no such RTI reply. Moreover, Gujarat Samachar additionally clarified that they haven’t revealed such a report.

While Saket Gokhale was arrested for posting pretend information and he has been granted bail as per common authorized process, TMC is making an attempt to make a hero out of him. The celebration is firmly standing behind him, with Derek O’Brien calling him ‘fearless’. However, as Derek O’Brien himself recurrently put up pretend information on social media, it’s no marvel that he thinks this can be a professional device in politics.
