Nagpur: BJP chief who demanded the arrest of Congress’ Nana Patole will get arrested himself

BJP chief Chandrashekhar Bawankule has been arrested by Police officers in Koradi, Nagpur. Earlier, Bawankule had raised severe discontent over Maharashtra Congress Chief’s statements threatening to beat up PM Narendra Modi.
Since Yesterday, The State BJP Unit leaders have demanded strict actions by legislation towards Patole, who had made derogatory remarks concerning the Prime Minister and had threatened bodily violence whereas addressing a bunch in Bhandara, Maharashtra. Patole in his speech was heard saying, “I can abuse Modi, and I can even beat him up.”

On January 17, Chandrashekhar Bawankule, the previous power minister who hails from Nagpur, had registered a criticism towards Nana Patole within the Kuhi Police station. On Tuesday, the BJP chief together with celebration employees sat in protest on the Koradi Police station demanding the police to probe into the matter. It is reported that the Police had assured Bawakule of enquiry and had requested him to take again the agitation.
When Bawankule refused to name off the protest, the Nagpur Police lastly arrested Bawankule within the afternoon.
Earlier, the Congress state chief had clarified his stance saying he was speaking a couple of native goon with a surname ‘Modi’ and that the BJP is accusing him falsely. Refuting his claims, BJP chief Bawankule through the protest stated, “Patole should prove the identity of ‘Modi’ he is talking about. He (Patole) is doing a drama by twisting his statements.”
Opposition chief and former Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis has lashed out on the MVA Government for the motion towards Bawankule. In a tweet, he stated, “Strange Justice! No action has been taken against those who used the language of assaulting Prime Minister Narendra Modiji. Instead, action has been taken against those who are demanding ‘action’ against this anarchy. What’s going on in this state?” he requested.

While elevating questions concerning the state of democracy in Maharashtra, Fadnavis acknowledged, ”Use the brute Police drive as a lot as you need! BJP employees won’t tolerate the silence and the individuals of this state won’t forgive you.” The day has seen a lot furore and discontent towards Nana Patole within the Political circles of Maharashtra and lots of BJP leaders have demanded enquiry and arrest of the State Congress Chief.
