Wesy Bengal Assembly elections: TMC listing might have 100 new faces

In its listing of candidates for the Assembly elections, the Trinamool Congress might axe a number of MLAs, together with many ministers, or change their constituency, sources stated on Monday.
Nearly 100 of the 294 constituencies, together with these of the 19 MLAs who switched to the BJP, might even see recent TMC faces, sources stated.
Since 2011, Chief Minister and TMC chief Banerjee has introduced her occasion’s listing of candidates prematurely. But this time, the occasion has determined to announce candidates phase-wise.

“The party leadership fears last-minute defections of many MLAs… and will announce candidates after BJP,” stated a senior TMC chief. The occasion, he stated, was planning to appoint extra youths, girls, and leaders with clear picture in addition to eminent personalities.
Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee met the occasion’s 12-member election committee at her residence in Kalighat within the afternoon.
