Police claimed the accused have been a part of a gang, which used to deliver Rohingya Muslims to India illegally by Bangladesh-border and assist them settle in India after getting ready faux id proofs.
Those arrested have been recognized as Mohammad Farooque alias Hasan Mohammad and Shahid alias Sahil Mohammad, stated Additional Director General, Law and Order, Prashant Kumar.
Police claimed to have recovered passport, Aadhar card, pan card – which have been ready with faux paperwork – and likewise money Rs 5 lakh from their possession.
Police stated the arrested individuals are residents of Myanmar and got here to India almost 4 years in the past by Bangladesh border. They have been working in meat factories in Uttar Pradesh.

“Hasan told that his son-in-law Zubair, who stays in Aligarh, is also from Myanmar. He also said his mother Madeena Khatoon lives in Aligarh too,” stated police.
Police added that in questioning, Hasan confessed that he and his brother Shahid used to deliver Rohingya Muslims to India illegally by Bangladesh border.

Inspector General, ATS, G Okay Goswamy stated all info collected from the accused shall be verified throughout investigation. He added that police will search their police custody to gather extra info from them.
The accused have been booked for fraud and underneath the Foreigners’ Act.
