Sixth part of UP polls: Polling begins on 57 Assembly seats, Adityanath amongst outstanding candidates

LUCKNOW: Voting for the sixth part of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly polls started on Thursday morning, with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and several other outstanding faces amongst 676 candidates, who’re contesting on 57 seats unfold throughout 10 districts.

The voting began at 7 am and can proceed until 6 pm. Around 2.15 crore individuals are eligible to vote on this part. Till now, voting for 292 of the 403 Assembly seats has been accomplished. The last part of the elections on the remaining 54 seats will likely be held on March 7.

The Leader of the Opposition within the state Assembly and Samajwadi Party chief Ram Govind Chaudhary is contesting from Bansdih.

Many incumbent ministers’ destiny may also be determined on this part. They embrace Surya Pratap Shahi from Pathardeva, Satish Chandra Dwivedi from Itwa, Jai Pratap Singh from Bansi, Shree Ram Chauhan from Khajani and Jai Prakash Nishad from Rudrapur.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi attacked the BJP’s rivals by tagging them as dynasts, who he claimed can by no means make India succesful or empower Uttar Pradesh.
