Shiv Sena MLA Santosh Bangar slaps mid-day meal kitchen worker over ‘poor high quality’ meals

AURANGABAD: Shiv Sena MLA Santosh Bangar slapped an worker of a kitchen getting ready mid-day meal in Maharashtra’s Hingoli district, alleging poor high quality meals was being served to labourers.

A video of the incident, which happened on Monday, went viral on social media, exhibiting Bangar slapping the worker twice whereas questioning him concerning the meals.

Bangar later informed reporters that the meals for the mid-day meal scheme was ready on the kitchen with inferior high quality materials.

“This is loot of government (funds). They are playing with the lives of poor people. The state government should act against the culprits,” claimed the Sena legislator, who’s a part of the faction led by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.
