Former UP minister Yaqub Qureshi, son arrested in Delhi for working unlawful meat commerce

LUCKNOW: Former cabinet minister of Uttar Pradesh Yakub Qureshi and son Imran Qureshi have been arrested by the Meerut police in coordination with the Delhi police crew from Chandani Mahal space of Delhi late on Friday night time. 

Qureshi and his son have been hiding at their relative’s place within the Chandni Mahal space of Delhi.

Yaqub Qureshi has been arrested for working an unlicensed enterprise of meat processing and packaging.

On March 31, 2022, the Meerut police raided Yakub Qureshi’s unlicensed meat manufacturing facility on Hapur Road discovering big portions of illegally saved meat. Subsequently, the police registered a case in opposition to 17 folks together with Yakub Qureshi, his spouse Sanjeeda Begum and sons Imran and Firoz.
