Bharat Jodo Yatra is to not venture Rahul Gandhi as PM candidate for 2024 polls: Jairam Ramesh

KARNAL: Senior Congress chief Jairam Ramesh on Saturday stated ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ was not an train to venture Rahul Gandhi as a main ministerial candidate for the 2024 basic elections.

“This Bharat Jodo Yatra is not to project Rahul Gandhi as a prime ministerial candidate. It is an ideological yatra of which the main face is Rahul Gandhi. It is not one individual’s yatra,” Ramesh, the Congress basic secretary in-charge communications, stated in response to a query right here.

He asserted that the ‘Kanyakumari to Kashmir’ foot march, which is presently passing by Karnal in Haryana, isn’t an election yatra.

The senior occasion chief added that Gandhi has raised three huge points within the Yatra, particularly financial inequality, social polarisation and political authoritarianism.
