Fire at manufacturing unit in Pune; no casualties

PUNE: A hearth broke out at a producing unit in Maharashtra’s Pune district on Saturday, and no casualties have been reported within the incident, an official from the hearth brigade mentioned.

The blaze erupted within the afternoon at a manufacturing unit manufacturing car-care merchandise situated close to Kasurdi village in Bhor tehsil, he mentioned.

“The factory has highly inflammable material used in the manufacturing of car-care products. As there were some commercial LPG cylinders stocked at the plant, the fire spread rapidly,” the official mentioned.

At least six tankers have been pressed into service and firefighter operation is underway, he mentioned.

There have been no experiences of any casualties or accidents to this point, the official mentioned.
