Communal clashes in two cities in Gujarat throughout Ram Navami processions

AHMEDABAD: Communal clashes broke out between two communities in Himmatnagar and Khambhat cities in Gujarat on Sunday throughout Ram Navami processions, prompting the police to fireplace tear fuel shells to manage mobs who pelted stones at one another and broken retailers and automobiles at each locations.

The variety of accidents, if any, is just not recognized thus far, officers stated.

Members of two communities hurled stones at one another when a Ram Navami procession reached Chhapariya locality in Himmatnagar metropolis within the Sabarkantha district within the late afternoon, a police official stated.

“Police fired tear gas shells to control the situation. Later, the additional police force was brought in from outside the city to bring the situation under control,” the official stated.

In Khambhat city within the Anand district, a conflict broke out throughout a Ram Navami procession whereby stones have been pelted and retailers and automobiles have been broken by two teams, a management room official stated, including that tear fuel shells have been fired.

The processions have been taken out on the event of Ram Navami celebrated because the birthday of Lord Ram.
