Birbhum killings: 4 arrested from Mumbai dropped at Kolkata

KOLKATA: The 4 folks arrested from Mumbai in reference to the Birbhum killings have been introduced again to Kolkata on Friday morning by the CBI, an official stated.

They have been introduced again to Kolkata on transit remand, granted by a Mumbai court docket until April 10, he stated. “We will be taking them to Rampurhat later in the day to speed up the investigation. They will be grilled along with other accused arrested there,” the official stated.

The CBI on Thursday arrested the 4 individuals — Bappa, Shabu, Taj Mohammad and Serajul — from Mumbai the place they fled to following the bloodbath in Rampurhat’s Bogtui village on March 21.

These have been the primary arrests made by the central company after taking up the probe. Nine folks died of burn accidents after their homes in Bogtui have been allegedly firebombed following the homicide of native TMC chief Bhadu Sheikh.

The CBI took over the investigation of the case, following an order of the Calcutta High Court. The company at current has the custody of no less than 10 individuals who have been arrested by the police in reference to the killings. Among them is then TMC block president Anarul Hossain.
