Maye Musk, mom of billionaire Elon Musk, has revealed that she forgoes the consolation of a correct bed room and sleeps within the storage when she visits her son.

In an interview with The Times, 71-year-old Maye Musk mentioned that regardless of being the richest man on this planet, Elon Musk doesn’t have a grand, ultra-luxurious house.

So each time she drops by the SpaceX CEO’s pad in Boca Chica, the placement of the corporate’s Texas headquarters and Starbase launch web site, she has no alternative however to spend the evening sleeping within the storage.

The cause behind the weird sleeping association? “You can’t have a fancy house near a rocket site,” quipped Maye Musk.

A few weeks in the past, Elon Musk had mentioned throughout a podcast that he lives in a “very small” home in Boca Chica price $45,000. Prior to that, he had claimed in 2020 that he was promoting “almost all” of his bodily belongings and “will own no house”.

Doubling down on the Tesla CEO’s assertion, Maye mentioned within the interview that her son has little interest in materials possessions.

Elon is the son of former supermodel Maye Haldeman and South African businessman Errol Musk, whom Maye divorced in 1979. Following the divorce, she moved to Canada with Elon and his siblings, Kimbal and Tosca.

Looking again on that point, Maye Musk mentioned it was “horrifying” because the household suffered from ongoing cash points, and she or he continuously feared she wouldn’t be capable to feed her kids.

“There were hard times,” she mentioned, recalling how the household lived in a one-bedroom condo and couldn’t afford to purchase new garments.
