(Picture credit score: PTI)A day after former Pakistan cricketer Waqar Younis sparked a recent controversy, when he mentioned watching Pakistani opener Mohammad Rizwan providing namaz “in front of Hindus was very special to him”, the veteran pacer apologised on Twitter.

Waqar Younis took to Twitter and mentioned: “In the heat of the moment, I said something which I did not mean which has hurt the sentiments of many. I apologise for this, this was not intended at all, genuine mistake. Sports unites people regardless of race, colour or religion.”In the warmth of the second, I mentioned one thing which I didn’t imply which has damage the feelings of many. Younis’s earlier feedback had not gone down effectively with Indian sports activities commentator Harsha Bhogle. He known as the assertion “dangerous” and mentioned that the cricket world wanted to be united and never divided by faith.Bhogle mentioned: “For a person of Waqar Younis’ stature to say that watching Rizwan offering namaz in front of Hindus was very special to him, is one of the most disappointing things I have heard.
