Want to export items to India like Pakistan, says Taliban minister in Afghanistan

Amir Khan Muttaqi, who’s the Foreign Minister of the Taliban authorities of Afghanistan, has sought to export items to India. He mentioned that the Taliban need good relations with all international locations.

Addressing an occasion in Kandahar, Muttaqi mentioned: “The Islamic Emirate wants good relations with all countries. But relations after 20 years of war with some countries are not expected to be normalised quickly.” Muttaqi was chatting with a gathering of tribal leaders in Kandahar.”

He mentioned if Pakistan is allowed to move its items to Asian international locations, Afghanistan must also have the ability to transport its items to India. “We were able to play a key role for India by helping India transport goods to Uzbekistan via the Pakistani transit routes,” he mentioned.

He sought to woo the tribal leaders by expressing his gratitude in the direction of them for convening “like brothers”. “We have many important days of independence in history, which we honour. But it is a matter of gratitude that today we gather people of different tribes in this hall like brothers,” he mentioned.
