By India Today Web Desk: Paul Pelosi, the husband of US Speaker Nancy Pelosi, was “violently assaulted” after a break-in on the couple’s California dwelling early on Friday.
Drew Hammill, spokesman for Nancy Pelosi, mentioned an assailant broke into the couple’s home in San Francisco and “violently assaulted” Paul Pelosi. Nancy Pelosi was not at dwelling on the time of the incident.
“Mr. Pelosi was taken to the hospital, where he is receiving excellent medical care and is expected to make a full recovery,” mentioned Hammill.
“The assailant is in custody and the motivation for the attack is under investigation,” mentioned the assertion issued by Hammill.
“The Speaker and her family are grateful to the first responders and medical professionals involved, and request privacy at this time,” mentioned the assertion.
