Two explosions rock Somalia’s capital, leaving “scores” lifeless

Police inform Somalia state media there are “scores of civilian casualties” after two explosions struck a busy junction Saturday in Somalia’s capital close to key authorities places of work.

The Somalia National News Agency cited nationwide police spokesman Sadiq Dodishe, who stated two automobile bombs had gone off.

An Associated Press journalist on the scene noticed “many” our bodies and stated they seemed to be civilians touring on public transport.

He stated the second blast occurred in entrance of a busy restaurant. The director of the Aamin ambulance service advised the AP that they had collected many wounded or killed. One of the ambulances responding was destroyed within the second blast, Abdulkadir Adan added in a tweet.

There was no rapid declare of duty in a metropolis usually focused by the al-Shabab extremist group.
